Tuition and Fees
Tuition for lessons is expected at the conclusion of each weekly lesson via check, cash, venmo or zelle. Current rates are $30/half hour for students in the Buda/Austin area. Discounted rates for siblings. Higher rates if traveling for at-home lessons.
Method Books
I prefer the "Piano Adventures" series by Faber & Faber for young students, in addition to supplemental materials based on interest and skill.
Cancellation Policy
A 24-hour cancellation notice is required before missing any scheduled lesson, or payment will be due for the lesson. I will wait no longer than 10 minutes in case of a “no-show.” Tuition from lessons that are cancelled 24 hours in advance (or in case of illness) will be credited to the next month’s tuition.
Exceptions to the 24-hour cancellation policy include:
Current students and parents must consent and understand these policy obligations. Please understand these policies were created for the protection and insurance of the teacher’s livelihood. This policy also benefits the student as it helps to insure a consistent schedule and reinforces a disciplined approach to music study.

- Inclement weather
- Illness
- Family Emergency
- Forgetting lesson time or miscommunication with family members about lessons time
- Sports, extracurricular activity programs, doctors appointments etc.
- Traffic
- Student cancellations and “no-shows” become chronic
- Lack of interest- student does not complete assigned practice sheets and shows no interest in learning
- Poor attitude
- Lack of respect for instructor
- Untimely payments
