Versatile as a teacher and performer, Kirsten is active in the Austin area as a teacher and musician. Fall of 2023 she took a new title of Director of Music & Arts at First Protestant Church in New Braunfels, TX. New projects at FPC include the creation of the Coll Street Players & First Protestant Music School. For the past seven years, Kirsten enjoyed teaching tiny humans at elementary schools in San Marcos, TX, Colorado Springs, CO and Fairfax, VA. Many of her friends can be found singing with her in events and concerts with ATX Musical Theatre Collective  (@ATXMusicalTheatreCollective).
As a pianist, private instructor, music director and church musician, Kirsten has spent the past 15+ years actively making music. Highlights include music directing for high school and middle school musical theatre productions in Fairfax County Public Schools. Kirsten served as the Artistic Director and Producing Director for the City of Fairfax Theatre Company from 2013-2020. From 2006-2017 she was on the music staff at Truro Anglican Church, Fairfax, filling the role of Director of Worship & Arts for Truro from 2010 to June 2014. Kirsten holds music degrees in piano and French horn from North Park University and Western Illinois University.
